Elderly and Disabled Housing
Bennington Housing Authority owns and manages two affordable housing developments designated for elderly (persons 62 or older) and disabled households:
All of the apartments have Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers, which provide rental assistance so that you generally pay no more than 30% of your income for rent. All utilities (water and sewer, heat, hot water and electricity) are included in the rent.
Applicants must be very low-income, based on HUD Income Limits for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program
A Resident Services program, called the SASH program (Support and Services at Home), is available to eligible residents.
BHA provides a preference on its waiting list to applicants who are 62 years or older.
To apply, you need to complete a BHA Preliminary Application with all required attachments and documents.
